Prelims ended on thurs. YEAH!
fri: was a bore with BORING career talks... the only interesting one was 'medicine'..
sat: went to Denise's surprise birthday party. was quite fun. she was sooooo surprised when we turned up. she thought it was going to be a boring mooncake festival celebration by her mom's cell, in the end, 10+ church ppl went, +sis gwen, about 5 of her classmates and her relatives... she was soo shocked.. played a prank on her (the initial idea came from me xp) and she and sarah started a cake fight (sort of) was really fun, and good bonding. glad i went. (didnt want to go initially..)
Sunday: today service was great. fabian came (for the 2nd time) today and came for cell! YEAH! was serving in tech today. Bro ZC made me run the soundboard for the fast songs and annoucements. Kevin took the slow songs, Shamus "slack". i took the sermon as usual. sis gwen preached today, about "God gives me abilities". 1cor12:4-10 talks about the same spirit of God gives us diff abilities. God's love is equal to everyone, though some ppl seem to have more abilities than others.
what really spoke to me was matt 14:28-31. peter trusted in the LORD and walked on water. but he doubted and started to sink. then Jesus asked him: "you of little faith, why did you doubt?" many times i know the LORD is faithful, that he can do all things... but i doubted that I can be used by Him. i trusted the LORD, but not myself.
1peter4:10 is about serving the LORD with our God-given gifts, using what we have to serve God and others.. all we need to do is too avail our time, talent, and treasure.
the message today really spoke to my heart. many times i know that God has given me talents, but sometimes i feel that i dun really have.. i know He wants to use me, but i doubted that i had enough worth to be used. overall, service was impactful to me.
have been spending most of my time these days writing my story... colouring my characters... basically "wasting time". XP
