today was super stressed. 1st time i eq everything all by myself!!! xP last 2 times i served PDa was there to do eq. then last time got BroZC or shamus helping out. today, nada. delayed a bit but in the end no choice, had to do eq. was super worried tat my eq not gd lar! haix. then my two "padawans" could tell i super stress n wanna help, but they dunno nothing 'bout eq. lol.
was really relying on God the whole eq session. was like "LORD, i cant do this by my own. help me get the eq right."
after i finish liao, broZC finally appeared. he thought was bro robin's team so he nvr come down, he was in church the whole time. lols. he was amazed, happy, *something along tat line* when he realised i did the whole eq all by myself (esp since i try not to do eq if i can xP) he said i did a good job (thank God), n only did minor touch ups. =) *whew* this one really thank God. no way could i do it alone!
broZC very funny. he ask me how i found the eq. then suddenly commented on my hair (for those who dunno, i cut it reccently). "so how did u find the eq? btw, i noticed u cut ur hair. its very nice. i wanted to tell u b4 i 4get. ya. so how was the eq?" lols.
cell was really interesting today. but sad thing was it was only SPs + emmanuel there. sad-ed. after a fun gel n testimony, sis serene led grow. last week was on pre-believers, this week on believers, how we can encourage each other. then she decided to do an activity with us instead of following the discussion notes. we went one round, each one taking turns to be in the hot seat, n everyone will comment on a quality or trait or just anything about tat person tat we really want to thank them for. at 1st it was very awkward. but after a while it wasnt so bad. its amazing wat ppl notice even when u think they're not. how small little actions like replying an sms with a "see u!" encourages another. how others really notice even the small things u do "when no one's looking". its really very encouraging. at the end of the session, sis serene wanted to round things off. then jer was like "but there's still one more person!" (her) then she was like nvm. can see chris n jer planning to do it anyway once she done talking. then they were like "jer go 1st" to me. haha. lols. ya. so we went one round of encouraging sis serene for all the time n effort n concern n everything she put into this cell. we really had a lot to share today. it was awesome.
today service praise n worship was run by the 2 young ones. long past time they started trying. always tried to get them to try mixing, esp during the jamming session. they dun want/dunno. cant really blame them. i started out like tat too. but i started trying like in my 2nd or 3rd week (probably cos i had a very gd teacher, tat helps) but broZC say this week is time for them to try. besides, i already did my share (eq). so ya. they finally mixed the sound.
they quite like me when i started. unsure. scared tat they'll screw up service. scared they'll do something wrong. n all tat. i suppose everyone (or most) starts off like tat. both didnt dare push the instruments up, then push one up, then leave it there for the whole song instead of keep mixing ard n trying new sounds. but cant blame them ba. they did a good job for 1st timers.
lighting console hanged in the middle of worship. lols. had to on the main house lights in case the system crashed.
P Andy preached today. impactful. about the word of God. his sermon was really relevant and easy to relate to. esp the last illustration of his. the bible vs handphone. it really opens a new perspective.
service ended late today, some of the tech ppl zhao cos they had to go, n we havent debrief yet. broZC was like "they're not supposed to go til after debrief. they shld know tat when they're serving they'll have to stay back a while after service one" but oh wells. they zhao liao. so broZC do debrief for us (whoever was left). then glo and sam n al came in to the lt (apparently my sis go tell them about my hair n they wanted to see) then glo esp was like super amazed (over wat i dunno) n keep pointing n laughing n being a super big distraction while i was having the debrief. then cos josie was blocking her frm having a proper view, she go ask him move to his right, then i also go move to my left. purposely dun let her see. haha. then broZC also got distracted bcos of tat. lols. he was like "ya i know her hairstyle very nice. we're having a debrief now" lols.
then after everything over liao, when i go outside, they were like "eh WOW! ur hairstyle very nice leh!" then jan also came over. then they kept wanting to touch my hair or something. >< lol. weird frens i have. haha. xD
talking about my hair. joled keep saying its not nice n want me to cut shorter cos he not used to it. he say this one more feminine, n keep saying i very tomboyish. lols. ok lar, sec sch i more violent i admit, but not very tomboyish wat. then elias was like "eh. who u trying to seduce with ur new hairstyle eh?" lols. the class jokers..
finally finished making the testtubes for jan. owe her super long liao. feel bad.
even though everything more/less turned out right today, but feel very bad. feel like i'm not good at teaching the new ones. like if they were under some of the more experienced ones they'll learn a lot more a lot faster. but in my team i most senior in sound liao, so have to teach them.. but seriously? i dun think i know enough to be teaching lors.
